What has been done to ensure a safe workplace for essential employees who continue to work onsite and others?

The following measures have been taken to protect our employees, contingent workers, etc.:

  • Staggered shifts so fewer people are in the workplace
  • Social distancing has been implemented (employees should stay 6 feet / 2 meters apart)
  • Meetings via teleconference as much as possible; no more than 6 people in a meeting if the meeting must be conducted in person
  • Minimize third party visitors to the facility
  • Sanitation stations set up throughout the facility and office areas

What happens if I am diagnosed with COVID-19 or exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19?

You will be sent home. You will be asked to identify all individuals who worked in close proximity (within 6 feet / 2 meters) with you for more than 15 minutes during the previous 6 days to ensure we have a full list of people who should also be sent home. They will be told that they have been exposed to the virus by a fellow employee, but your name will not be shared due to privacy concerns. Your workspace and any shared work areas will be deep cleaned, and building management will be informed so that additional precautions can be taken. For more details, please see the EHS process document. Notify your manager, local EHS ( in CPH, in SEA, and in CO), Global EHS ( and local HR ( in CPH and in the U.S.) via phone or email. Please remember that employees under self-quarantine should avoid close personal contact with other employees, even outside of work hours.

  • Maintain 6 feet or 2 meters distance from others within the workplace.
  • Refrain from shaking hands or other direct contact.
  • Limit face-to-face meetings and discussions. Use teleconferencing (Zoom, Skype, etc.) or communicate by email wherever possible to minimize direct personal contact.

  • Large company gatherings and meetings are to be postponed and remote technology employed where possible (Zoom, Skype, etc.).
  • Avoid carpooling and public transportation when commuting to work.
  • If public transportation must be used as a last resort, please practice social distancing guidelines above, and if possible, travel at times when public transportation is less crowded.
  • Avoid eating together if you can (sit at a desk, car, outside or bring your own lunch in) – Be especially mindful when getting coffee, water or snacks in common spaces.
  • Keep note of which people you have had close contact with and which rooms/spaces you have utilized.
  • If you have other creative ideas with regards to social distancing, share them with your manager or email .
